This weekend the board of Sanctuary Forest held their annual board meeting in our new Welcome Center. It is fitting that they should be the first group to use this facility. The monastery and Sanctuary Forest have had a long relationship over many years and we share a common commitment to the care of creation, especially in our region.
Sanctuary Forest promotes land and water conservation through projects, trusts and education. Ground water recharge program is a recent project that addresses issues of drought brought on by climate change and human consumption. Programs like these offer new hope for our region and planet. While human beings have a great capacity to destroy the ecological balance, we can also be agents of restoration and health. The planet needs us now in ways it never did before.
Donate to Sanctuary Forest if you can.
